What Does GOTS Certified Mean for Bedding?

GOTS is a textile standard covering organic fibers and processing requirements across certified textile supply chains.

What GOTS can tell you

GOTS-certified products use certified organic fibers within a controlled textile processing framework. The current GOTS 8.0 standard was released in 2026, with mandatory adherence beginning in March 2027.

What it does not mean

A GOTS reference should not be stretched into a claim that every non-textile component is organic. Waterproof membranes need to be evaluated separately.

Check the label grade

GOTS explains that the “Organic” label grade requires at least 95% certified organic fibers. Certification wording should be precise about the product and scope.
